“If a person plants a tree and birds ,animals and travellers benefit from it,it becomes a charity for him.”
Haritha Haram is the programme started by Telegnana’s Chief Minister K Chandra Shekhar Rao in July 2015.It is followed this year too with more zest and enthusiasm with a target of increasing the forest cover upto 33% from the present 24%.About 2.5 million of trees were planted in Telengana under this programme.People from all walks of life joined hands to serve this purpose.
A team of twenty Nature Club members of Nasr Boys School,Gachibowli,planted about 176 saplings at Pragati Resorts on 11th July ,the programme was organized in collaboration with WWF India.The students were enthusiastic and worked actively in drizziling rain.It was a great joy for them to be a part of Haritha Haaram Programme.”The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago,the next best time is today”
