Yoga Day

Humans enrolment into the world of tough competitions have raised various complications in their daily lives. Thus, giving them sleepless nights and period of unrest. Children and youngsters have also become a victim of this rigid system.

In order to give ourselves a period of peace; yoga—a Patanjali concept of relaxing an upheaval mind and body has been put into practise since ages. It rejuvenates human system by evaporating fatigue and healing various physical and mental ailments.

An international day for yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly on 21 June 2015. Keeping this in mind the students of Nasr Boys School had observed the Yoga Day on 21 June 2018.

Principal Mir Hafeezuddin Ahmed had addressed the students and emphasised the benefits of practising yoga which not only instils the power of concentration and patience but also keeps them fit and healthy.

Physical instructor Mr. Laxman Rao had commenced the session with breathing exercise called “Anulom-Vilom” which helps in decreasing stress, anxiety, controls obesity, manages blood circulation and increases supply of oxygen in the body. This was followed by indoctrinating the students the benefits and practice of various other asanas like Trikonasana, Paschimottanasana, Tadasana, Salabhasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Bhujangasana and Supta Vajrasana.

Students of primary school had also observed the International Yoga Day. They were addressed by Headmistress Mrs. Ayesha Fatima and Dr. Vijaylakshmi of Nasr Girls School on the benefits of yoga.

Students of Nasr Girls School had tutored the little ones some simple asanas which would help them stay fit, active and also relaxed at the same time.

The International Yoga Day had turned out to be a success with students enjoying in learning the various types of asanas, which would help them to relax their mind and body amidst their routine life.
