XVIII Annual Sports Day 2016

On a balmy Saturday 19th November, 2016. Nasr Boys School celebrated its XVIII Annual sports Day, at the sprawling school grounds amidst much fanfare and exemplary sporting displays.
Nasr Boys School is ranked as one of the Best Boys school in the country and the No 1 School for Boys in Telangana. Nasr Boys has also carved the enviable position as the leading school in the field of sports.
The Sports day is the celebration of the sporting abilities of the students and Nasrites showcase their multiple skills and sporting talents.
The Chief Guest on this day was Shri Rajesh Kumar, IPS, Dy. Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) & Smt. Neetu Prasad, IAS, Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Telangana State. Begum Anees Khan, Chairperson Nawab Mir Khutubuddin Khan, Secretary and honorable members of the Board of Directors of Nasr Education Society.
The bouquet presentation was followed by the welcome song sung by the school choir and welcome speech by the School Captain Muhammed Mufaqqam Mohiuddin. The March past by the four houses, the NCC Cadets the acclaimed and Nasr riders was a beautiful spectacle. The sports meet was formally declared open by the Chief Guest amidst a flurry of colorful balloons. The lighting of the torch and oath taking took place amidst solemn silence. The Principal Mir Hafeezuddin Ahmed presented the annual report, followed by the Chief Guest’s address. The sporting events followed, from gymnastics display, Karate and the Horse Dressage by the Nasr Riders. Races and hurdles, and the Horse mounted game. It was a specular display of sports prowess. The Guests distributed the prizes and the event came to an end with the singing of the school song and the National anthem.
