CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

It was a great privilege for us to become the maiden member of the Nasr Literary Club. This was the 6^th outgoing successful year.

The Nasr Literary Club was initiated by the Founder Chairperson, Nasr Education Society Begum Anees Khan in the year 1998. It took momentum in the year 2010. The objective is to develop reading habits in students which seems to be fading out in today’s generations.

Our young dynamic principal Mr. Mir Hafeezuddin Ahmed took keen interest and raised it to the new heights, he had motivated the club in charge personals to train the students, not only in reading but also vocabulary building. The real literary, meaning right from ABCD of literature is to develop in students communication and reading skills, vocabulary, weaving story, storytelling, discussions quizzes, observe like a critic and take part in criticism etc., the Principal also encouraged and incited highly placed resource Personals from different disciplines to deliver lectures to students and to train them in various skills viz., time management, personal disciples, public speaking and leadership qualities to broaden their outlook.

The members almost doubled from 1^st year to 6^th year, this encouraged the young readers to become good readers. The young readers were identified into four groups namely 1.Bookworm Buddies 2.Readers Delight, 3.Fiction Addiction, 4.Happy Bookers – works to achieve the set objects i.e. developing skills of leadership qualities, etiquette, public speaking, oration, individual discipline and command over language.

The year 2015-2016 paved to be a quite fruitful one.  More and more students are showing interest to enroll in the literary club, in the coming year we plan to take it to greater heights and achieve our goals.
